Jay Fuller - Mobile / Cullman Alabama

Oldies 95.5 FM, Your Good Times, Great Oldies Station!
(Cullman Alabama)

I started work at Oldies 95 back in its day as "1340 Gold, WXXR";. It was really my second job to ever have....second only to McDonalds. :) [my second steady job...everything else was "we'll call you when we need you"....].

Larry Baker, the station manager, called me up around by birthday in 1994. I'd mentioned to him I was looking for a job, and he offered me one. I've been with Oldies 95 since it began the procedures involved in upgrading their setup to include the FM frequency - 95.5 FM - which went online in April, 1996.

Working at an FM station was a slight change...everything was in stereo all of a sudden. :)  I had to re-learn several things, but after a few weeks, I had adjusted well. I've worked the weekend morning shifts....Saturday morning oldies....and "Sunday Morning Gospel" since 1994. I've also been heard during severe weather, and doing most of the weather forecasts for the station. :)   Occasionally, they let "Wild, Ravin' Jay Fuller" loose to do some production, which you'll hear an example of below - so be prepared! ;-).  I've also done most of the football game and basketball (and even some baseball) game in-studio production over the years.
